What is Indonesia Visa on Arrival (VOA)?

Visa on Arrival (VOA) is a type of visit visa that is given when you are landing or entering Indonesia territory, this type of visa is given to certain countries only, not to all countries.

Citizens whose country names are included in the list of countries that have Visa on Arrival (VOA) facilities can immediately enter and purchase their visa upon landing. The validity period of the stay permit for this type of visa is only for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days if you want to stay longer. After staying for 60 days you will be required to leave Indonesia and you can return again using the same type of visa. The official fee for this visa is 500,000 IDR which is paid directly at the counter of VOA Visa upon entry. This type of visa cannot be changed to another type of visa without first leaving Indonesia. In other words, if you want to change your visa on arrival (VOA) to a residence visa (KITAS) or Single Entry of B211A visa type, you will be required to leave Indonesian territory first.

What documents are needed to get an Indonesian visa on arrival of VOA?

Who is this service intended for?

For all of you foreigners who are already in Indonesia using a Tourist visa (VOA) and need additional time to stay longer in Indonesia, you can extend your visa at the nearest immigration office to obtain a stay permit for the next 30 days. In order to apply for this extension, a guarantor and an application letter from the sponsor person or local company are required. Thus, you should ask for help from a visa agent if you do not have a sponsor who will help extend your visa.

This Visa on Arrival/VOA can only be extended once with a maximum total length of stay of 60 days, without having to leave the territory of Indonesia. After staying for 60 days, you are required to leave the territory of Indonesia, and this type of VOA visa cannot be converted to another type of visa without leaving Indonesia. In other words, holders of this visa are required to leave Indonesia if they want to change the type of visa to another type of visa, for example with a B211 visit, work, study visas. etc.
