This type of visa is intended for the former Indonesian Citizens who have lost their citizenship status because they have given up their status as Indonesian citizens and have another citizenship. For those who have lost their Indonesian citizenship and are already foreigners but are interested in becoming Indonesian citizens again, they can still be given the opportunity to regain their Indonesian citizen status if they meet the requirements. This type of visa is valid for 1 year and can be extended every year and when applying for an extension you can apply for a permanent stay visa (KITAP) that is valid for 5 years

What requirements must be met to get a Repatriation KITAS?

The following are several requirements that must be met by applicants:

  1. Guaranteeing letter from sponsor in Indonesia
  2. Scanning passport that is still valid for a minimum of 18 months
  3. Scanning the cover of the passport
  4. Savings account in the applicant’s name for the last 3 months, equivalent to USD 2000
  5. Proof of having been an Indonesian citizen, it can be proven by showing KTP, Family Card, Birth Certificate, Land Certificate, etc.
  6. Proof of release letter as an Indonesian citizen from the Indonesian Government (having lost his/her status as an Indonesian citizen)
  7. Color photo, size 4cm X 6 cm
  8. Domicile address in Indonesia
