Spouse Visa / KITAS

This type of Spouse Visa / KITAS is valid for a stay of 1 year and can be extended every year, with 5 continuous extensions for 6 years, without having to leave the territory of Indonesia for the period of 6 years. And for those of you who already have a KITAS and are interested in getting a Permanent Stay Visa/ KITAP, you can apply for a KITAP when your marriage is 2 years old. Likewise, if you are interested in applying for Indonesian citizenship, you can apply after you have lived for 5 consecutive years using a KITAS and you are not required to have a KITAP at the time of applying for citizenship.

This type of Spouse Visa/ KITAS  is provided by the government for foreign citizens who are legally married to Indonesian citizens and intend to stay in Indonesia for 1 year or a long period of time.

If you have this type of visa, you can stay in Indonesia for 6 consecutive years without having to leave Indonesia and have the opportunity to get a Permanent Stay Visa / KITAP after living for several years in Indonesia. Among other advantages are :

2. You can open an account at a local bank
3. You can apply for a credit card
4. You can get an exit permit/ MERP for 1 year
5. Register a mobile phone

This Spouse Visa can be applied for by applicants who are outside Indonesia (offshore) or who are already in Indonesia (Onshore). After the applicant completes all the necessary requirements, the visa can be applied immediately, either by yourself or by using the professional services of an experienced and trusted visa consultant or agent. The processing time for a Spouse visa in normal situations ranges from 1 – 2 weeks, but during the covid-19 pandemic the process of getting a visa approval is sometimes much longer because the procedures and requirements often change.

After your visa application has been granted by Indonesian immigration and the telex visa (e-Visa) has been issued, then you must use the visa (enter Indonesia) no later than 90 days after the visa was issued by Indonesian immigration. If during the 90 days you do not enter Indonesia, your visa will be forfeited / no longer valid. Thus you have to reapply the visa application if you want to enter Indonesia

To get this spouse visa, you are required to have a sponsor, and in this case, your partner who is an Indonesian citizen must be the sponsor. Your sponsor can not only be a sponsor to get a KITAS but also to get a Permanent Stay Visa / KITAP.

After we have received the documents completely, then we shall begin to file the visa application to the Immigration Authorities in Jakarta.  It takes 10 (ten) working days to obtain the E-visa approval from the Immigration Authorities in Jakarta. After the E- visa approval has been granted, then the E-visa approval letter will be immediately emailed by the Immigration Authorities in Jakarta to us and we will email the said visa approval letter to you. After obtaining the E-visa approval, you must enter Indonesia in 3 (three) months, otherwise, the visa would be no longer valid/obsolete. After you have entered Indonesia, your passport must be submitted to the immigration office in 30 (thirty) days to make KITAS card, For the process of making KITAS Card, you are obligated to come to the immigration office to perform biometrick session. In 5 (five) working days after KITAS has been signed, then you may receive KITAS card

Note:

The things to be noted at the time of coming to the immigration office in order to sign KITAS and photo taking:
1. For male, it is not allowed to wear sandal and shorts.
2. For female, it is not allowed to wear sandal and mini/scanty dress.
