Single Entry Visa Extension

For all of you foreigners who are already in Indonesia using a visit visa type B211 for the purpose of business, tourism or socio-cultural activities and need additional time to stay longer in Indonesia, you can extend your visa at the nearest immigration office to where you live to get permit of stay for the next 60 days after obtaining a permit from your original sponsor, and in the event that the original sponsor does not want to grant the permit for extension, then the local immigration authorities will not want to extend your visa.

This B 211 visa can actually be extended twice with the length of stay for each extension of 60 days, thus, the total length of stay for this type of visa is 6 months (180 days) without having to leave the territory of Indonesia. After staying for 6 months with this B211 visa, you can re-apply for a new same type of visa, thus, you can stay again for the next 6 months.

If you want to extend this B211 visit visa with help from a visa agent, it is recommended that you contact him no later than 2 weeks before the expiration date of your visa. The purpose is that the visa agent can prepare the necessary documents for applying for a visa extension to the immigration office.

After your passport has been submitted and processed at the immigration office for visa extension, you are required to come to the immigration office to do biometrics. You only are only obliged to come at the first extension and not for the second one. There are things that you must remember when you are going to come to the immigration office for biometrics. Foreigners applying for a visa extension are not allowed to wear shorts (for men) and sandals, while women are not allowed to wear mini clothes.
