Police Record Certificate or SKCK is an official certificate issued by the Police through the security intelligence function to an applicant/citizen in the community to fulfill a request from the person concerned or a need due to a requisite provision, based on the results of research on biodata and existing Police records of a person. the. (Vide of National Police Chief Regulation No. 18 of 2014).
SKCK has a validity period of up to 6 (six) months from the date of issue. If the validity period has passed and if deemed necessary, the SKCK can be extended by the person concerned.

Most applicants require a Statement of Police Report (Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian, SKCK) for the purposes of managing their immigration documents. It is because they live in another country, not in their own country. Usually, almost in all countries, the local government always asks for and requires Statement of Police Report or also called a Certificate of Good Conduct (Surat Keterangan Kelakuan Baik) from the Police in a country where the visa applicant has lived for a long time. This procedure must be carried out before issuing a residence permit to a foreigner who is applying for a residence permit in the applicant’s destination country.

Application procedure :

The application procedure consists of 2 steps:

• The application must first obtain a recommendation at the local police station; and
• Based on the recommendation of the local police station, the Police Headquarters (MABES POLRI) will issue a Statement of Police Report (SKCK);

If the applicant during the SKCK application is residing in Indonesia, the applicant’s fingerprint must be taken at the local police station.

If the SKCK applicant lives outside Indonesia, the applicant does not need to travel to Indonesia, as their presence in Indonesia is not required. In this case, fingerprinting can be done in the country where the applicant is residing. Fingerprinting can be taken at a local authority agency or police station, or notary, depending on the applicable regulations in the applicant’s country of residence.

What is the difference between the police clearance certificate/ the PCC and rejection letter of the PCC

Police Clearance Certificate/the PCC means a certificate regarding a person’s good behavior record issued by the Indonesian Police Authorities. The letter explains the police record of a person’s behavior, both Indonesian and foreign citizens who have lived in Indonesia using a residence permit/KITAS.

As for foreign citizens who have stayed with only tourist or business visas and do not use a residence permit/KITAS, they can only be given a Rejection Letter of the PCC. in the Rejection Letter of the PCC, it is also explained about the Indonesian police record of the behavior of the owner of the PCC letter. Thus, in both documents, both the PCC and the REJECTION LETTER of the PCC still explain the police record of a person’s behavior when he lives in Indonesia.

What is the use of the rejection letter of the PCC document?

Both the PCC and the Rejection Letter documents are equally useful and needed to complete the requirements for applying for a visa/citizenship to another country. The immigration authorities in a country will usually ask the visa or permanent visa applicant to attach the PCC certificate or the Rejection Letter as one of the requirements for applying for the permanent/working visas to a country.

To get the Police Clearance Certificate, the most important document is the Indonesian visa stamp on the passport page and the period of stay in Indonesia in the past must be clear.

In addition, the other most important document is to fill in the fingerprint form provided by the Indonesian police using blue or black ink using ink that is not too thick and not too thin, so the segments of the handprints can be seen clearly. The completion of the fingerprint form can be done by the applicant at home and is not required to be made at the police station. The PCC processing through our service does not require the applicant’s presence to come to Indonesia.

However, the PCC document is issued by the Police authority directly in 2 languages, namely Indonesian and English, while the Rejection Letter of The PCC is only issued in Indonesian. Thus, we must translate the document into English using a sworn translator.

Rejection Letter of PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) / SKCK from the Police Force

For those of you foreigners who need a Rejection letter from the Indonesian Police for PCC / SKK applications, we can help arrange and obtain these documents from the Indonesian police. Parties who can be given this Rejection Letter are foreigners who have stayed in Indonesia using tourist or business visas.

PCC or Rejection Letter of PCC documents are usually required to complete the requirements for applying for a visa to another country.
