Meanwhile, for a director who owns shares in a PMA company with a minimum share size of 1 billion IDR, he can have an Investor visa (KITAS) valid for 2 years and at the same time have a work permit without having to pay “DPKK” funds of USD 1200/year or USD 2400/years.

- This working visa KITAS (C312) can be applied for by applicants who are outside indonesia (offshore) or who are already in indonesia (onshore)
- Provide all documents required to apply for a work visa
- After the applicant completes all the necessary requirements, the visa can be applied immediately, either by yourself or by using the professional service of an experienced and trusted indonesia visa agency
- Apply for a working permit to the Ministry of Manpower of Indonesia to obtain the RPTKA and IMTA
- To obtain a working permit, the employing company shall be required to pay a “DPKK” retribution as much as 100 USD per month / 1200 USD per year which shall be paid to the Ministry of Manpower via the bank
- After the E-Visa approval has been granted, then the e-visa approval letter will be immediately emailed by the immigration authorities to you
- After obtaining the e-visa approval you must enter indonesia in 3 months, otherwise, the visa would be no longer valid/obselete
- The applicants can enter Indonesia using the e-visa provided by Indonesian immigration
- After you have entered indonesia, your passport must be submitted to the immigration office in 30 days to make kartu izin tinggal terbatas (KITAS)
- For the process of making KITAS card, you are obligated to come to the immigration office to perform biometrick session
- In 5 working days after KITAS has been signed, then you may receive KITAS card
- Within 14 days after the KITAS card is issued by the Indonesian immigration authorities, you must apply for a SKTT at the Population and Civil Registration Agency (dukcapil) office in order to obtain a residence certificate (SKTT)
- Congratulations, since all of the legalities of your residence permit and work permit have been completed, now you can officially be working in Indonesia safely and calmly
The following are the required documents needed to apply for an Indonesian work visa, To apply for a Working Permit in Indonesia you must attach the following Documents :
- Scanned color of Passport (Identity Page and Passport Cover).
- Passport validity period is not less than 18 months
- Health Insurance
- Colour Passport Photo with Red Background (Digital)
- Curriculum Vitae / CV
- Certificate of Degree Graduated
- Reference Letter from previous Company / Workplace
- Employment contract in English ( excluded for Director/Commissioners)
- Personal Tax payer number card/ NPWP of the applicant (only needed for renewal)
- Stay Address in Indonesia (Hotel / Villa)
- Legality of The Company Sponsor in Indonesia (The details of which may be seen below).
The necessary legalities of the company sponsor:
- The company’s Deed of Establishment.
- Deed of Legalization by The Ministry of Law & Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Tax Payer Registration Number/ NPWP
- Location Permit / PKKPR from OSS
- Business License / SIUP.
- Company’s Registration Certificate / NIB
- KTP (Indonesian Resident Identity Card) / KITAS of The Director.
- Blank papers with the Company’s letterhead; (for application letters)
- Bank Statement of the Company Sponsor in Indonesia with a minimum balance of 30.000.000 IDR (2200 USD)
- Company organizational structure chart
- Wajib Lapor Ketenagakerjaan / WLK
- BPJS Employment Insurance / Asuransi Ketenagakerjaan BPJS
- BPJS Employment Insurance on behalf of the applicant himself (only needed for Renewal)
- KTP, NPWP, Photo with a red background of Indonesian staff who will become the assistant of visa applicant/ expatriate.
- Company stamp
- User ID of Visa Account at the Directorate General of Immigration, for Companies that have Registered and has a Visa Account.
- As per Manpower regulation, 1 foreign worker company must have at least minimum 10 local employees.
The required Additional Company Deeds:
- Number & Date of the Deed of Establishment containing the Authorized Capital information
- Number & Date of the most recent Deed of Amendment
- Number & Date of the Change Deed of PT Name (if any)
- Number & Date of the Deed Concerning the Latest Composition of the Shareholders
The difference between a 1– 6 month Indonesia working visa KITAS C312 and a 1 year work visa is that if the 1– 6 month visa validity period has expired and you want to continue to work in Indonesia, then the applicant can apply for a new work visa shall be required to leave Indonesian territory first, while the holder of 1 year work visa, if the visa validity period has expired then the concerned work visa can be extended once without having to leave Indonesian territory first.
