This type of Dependent Visa / KITAS is valid for a stay of 1 year and can be extended every year, with 4 continuous extensions for 5 years and without having to leave the territory of Indonesia for a period of 5 years.

This type of Dependent Visa / KITAS is provided by the government for you as a foreign citizen working in Indonesia who has a wife/husband or children who will join to live with you in Indonesia as a Family. The main requirement for them to join you and be granted a visa by the Indonesian immigration authorities is if you are legally married and have a valid marriage certificate issued by the authorities in your country.

If you have this type of visa, you can stay in Indonesia for 5 consecutive years without having to leave Indonesia. Among other advantages are :

This Dependent Visa / Family Visa can be applied for by applicants who are outside Indonesia (offshore) or who are already in Indonesia (Onshore). After the applicant completes all the necessary requirements, the visa can be applied immediately, either by yourself or by using the professional services of an experienced and trusted visa consultant or agent. The processing time for a Dependent visa in normal situations ranges from 1 – 2 weeks, but during the covid-19 pandemic the process of getting a visa approval is sometimes much longer because the procedures and requirements often change.

After your visa application has been granted by Indonesian immigration and the telex visa (e-Visa) has been issued, then you must use the visa (enter Indonesia) no later than 90 days after the visa was issued by Indonesian immigration. If during the 90 days you do not enter Indonesia, your visa will be forfeited / no longer valid. Thus you have to reapply the visa application if you want to enter Indonesia.

True, to get this dependent visa you must be sponsored by the company where you or your partner works, so you as a spouse or parent of your children cannot be a guarantor or sponsor them to get this visa. For children who are allowed to join their parents are only children who are under 18 years old and not married.

After we have received the documents completely, then we shall begin to file the visa application to the Immigration Authorities in Jakarta.  It takes 10 (Ten) working days to obtain the E-visa approval from the Immigration Authorities in Jakarta. After the E- visa approval has been granted, then the E-visa approval letter will be immediately emailed by the Immigration Authorities in Jakarta to us and we will email the said visa approval letter to you. After obtaining the E-visa approval, you must enter Indonesia in 3 (three) months, otherwise, the visa would be no longer valid/obsolete. After you have entered Indonesia, your passport must be submitted to the immigration office in 30 (thirty) days to make KITAS card, For the process of making KITAS Card, you are obligated to come to the immigration office to perform biometrick session. In 5 (five) working days after KITAS has been signed, then you may receive KITAS card

The things to be noted at the time of coming to the immigration office in order to sign KITAS and photo taking:
1. For male, it is not allowed to wear sandal and shorts.
2. For female, it is not allowed to wear sandal and mini/scanty dress.
