For you who hold a residence visa/spouse KITAS index 317, sponsored by your Indonesian spouse (wife/husband), you are allowed to work in Indonesia after you have a work permit/IMTA issued by the Ministry of Manpower. Holders of Spouse KITAS do not need to change their visa type with a work visa (index 312). Thus, you can continue to use your visa (index 317) and you only need to apply for a work permit/IMTA. Having obtained a work permit/IMTA, you are completely allowed to legally work in Indonesia according to government regulations. Therefore, you will not have any problems with the immigration.
