Holders of KITAP may establish a company and hold the position of director, but cannot become a shareholder in either a local PT or PMDN based on the existing laws and regulations. If you hold the position of Director, you can be granted a work visa/KITAS by immigration. Holders of this type of visa are still required to pay a levy in the amount of USD 1,200 per year or USD 100 per month of service.

Can KITAP be revoked (no longer valid) if the owner is divorced from his/her Indonesian spouse?

Answer: KITAP can remain valid if there is a new guarantor (new spouse) who will replace the old guarantor.
